I suppose that would depend on how you define "traditional". "Family values" is an often quoted term. Part of a family value system would include such things as how well families manage to stay together (i.e. remain married). Other factors could be how close-knit extended families are, whether aging parents are cared for by their children, etc.

We've compiled worldwide statistical data on marriage and divorce rates and compared them to the divorce rates in the United States as a barometer of how "traditional" each country is compared to the United States.

Many men are very unhappy with their local women. This is particularly true in the USA, Canada, Australia, The UK and New Zealand. It's not that they want some meek submissive little thing they can lead around by the nose. What they want is a woman who will be a more "traditional" kind of wife, who is probably more oriented toward being a wife than being a career woman. Many are middle aged men who want a women significantly younger than themselves. Increasingly though, as the effects of feminism have become more and more perverse, younger and younger men are seeking this option. My book has been sold to a number of men under the age of 25. In any case, they are all men who have decided, as I did, that they are unlikely to find what they want in their native countries.

If you listen to the feministas and their sympathizers, you'll get two opinions as to what men who seek foreign brides are really after. The most ridiculous of these, and the one that is a totally unfounded out and out lie is that the men are looking for sex slaves.

The second, and more common feminist notion is that the men are seeking women who will be meek, submissive wives who will pretty much go along with whatever they want. This notion may be true of a small percentage of men seeking foreign wives, but it certainly doesn't apply to the vast majority. Furthermore, the idea that these foreign women are all meek and submissive is a myth having no basis in reality.
